Our vehicles are stocked with common parts so we can get you up and running quickly. Our knowledgeable technicians are familiar with most systems and are both NATE and Trane® certified. See below for common issues that may require troubleshooting:
Common Heater Problems
If you notice ice buildup on your unit, please call us. The heat pump should go into defrost cycle to remove most of the ice. If this is not occurring, call us immediately to prevent damage to your unit.
Gas furnaces should be inspected annually prior to heating season. We also recommend all customers with gas furnaces have a carbon monoxide detector in their home. Be sure to contact a professional for any issues with a gas furnace system.
Heat Pump Systems
Common problems with a heat pump system include low refrigerant, stopped up coils and dirty filters. If your system isn't heating or isn't turning on at all, this could indicate a failed motor or module. We recommend our maintenance program so we can detect these issues prior to a problem occurring.
We’ll check the level of insulation in your attic and make recommendations as necessary. A well-insulated attic can keep your energy bills low and your home nice and warm. When your heating system puts in less work, it’s less likely to require a repair.
If there is air that gets in or out of the duct system, it will affect the performance and energy use negatively. Your air ducts are one of the most important systems in your home, and if the ducts are poorly sealed or insulated, they are likely contributing to higher energy bills.
Ducts that leak heated air into unheated spaces can add hundreds of dollars a year to your heating and cooling bills. Insulating ducts in unconditioned spaces is usually very cost-effective. Sometimes existing ducts may be blocked and they may require simple upgrades.
